Kudos to the Northwest Herald for editorializing that the costs on installation and maintenance are concerns when it comes to mandating a sprinkler system in new housing.
The paper suggested that it should be up to individual homeowners as to whether to install the systems. And the editorial questioned why a statewide policy was needed to force the issue.
