Through intense advocacy efforts from our local Government Affairs program, the city of Belleville has decided to fill the REALTOR® member position on the city’s Health and Housing Committee. Belleville REALTOR® Tricia Tialdo has been appointed by the Belleville City Council to serve on this vital committee.
The Health and Housing Committee is where a majority of the ordinances affecting the real estate industry begin and are worked on before being heard by the city council. She will serve a three-year term for the city and be at the table when decisions are being made that affect homeowners and the business of real estate.
Tricia is an active member of the REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois currently serving as the association’s secretary/treasurer. She played a key role in the recent lobbying victory to keep the frequency of occupancy inspections yearly rather than to every change of occupancy.
After attending Clemson, Tricia returned to Southwestern Illinois to continue the family legacy of working in real estate. Her knowledge of the industry and strong voice will make Tricia a strong advocate for REALTOR® issues.
