Political involvement goals reached by IAR

REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee Chair John C. Kmiecik, CRB, told members of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® that the organization had surpassed member involvement goals set by the National Association of REALTORS®.

The goals set by NAR were based on an association membership of 41,000. IAR was to reach 21,952 in 2012. The number as of Oct. 2 was 22,357.

“That’s remarkable at this point,” Kmiecik said during a Public Policy and Government Affairs Member Involvement Group meeting at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Ill.

Kmiecik said efforts to boost member involvement focused on many smaller broker offices in the  state.
