Chicago ranks high with international homebuyers

The Windy City is a popular location when it comes to global buyers who are looking for a home. In fact, Chicago topped Realtor.com’s list of most searched U.S. cities by non-U.S. consumers throughout the month of January 2013.

A National Association of REALTORS® article, “Where are Global Buyers Searching in the United States?”, breaks down which U.S. housing markets are most frequently searched by specific countries.

And which countries are most interested in Chicago?

  • Canada
  • Ireland
  • India
  • Russian Federation
Illinois REALTORS® can learn more about working with global buyers by attending the Illinois Association of REALTORS® Multicultural Summit, April 26 in Oak Brook. This year’s topic: Opportunities in the Caribbean and South Africa.
