Message heard. A fire sprinkler mandate is a bad idea.

Thank you to the thousands of Illinois REALTOR® members who answered IAR’s call for action and lobbied lawmakers to oppose a statewide fire sprinkler mandate. Illinois State Fire Marshal Larry Matkaitis on Friday withdrew a proposal with a state legislative panel  that would mandate the installation of fire sprinklers in new homes and older high-rise residential buildings.
