RealtyTrac: U.S. foreclosure activity down in September, marks 36 months of annual declines

U.S. foreclosure activity rose 2 percent in September compared to August but was 27 percent lower when comparing year-over-year data, RealtyTrac reported today. Month-to-month trends may vary, but when looking at the longer picture, September marks the 36th consecutive month of annual decreases. Third quarter 2013 activity also dropped to the lowest quarterly level since 2007. Read more from RealtyTrac.
