Morning Minute: Unemployment rate hits five-year low

The jobs outlook improved in November with 203,000 new jobs added and the unemployment rate falling to 7 percent, a level not seen in five years, according to media reports. An article in the New York Times, “Jobless Rate Lowest in 5 Years, Raising Odds of a Fed Move,” speculates that the economic upturn might prompt the Federal Reserve to “begin easing its stimulus efforts sooner.”
