2014 color trend is Radiant Orchid

Chase away the winter blahs with Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2014: Radiant Orchid.

Every year Pantone, a global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, chooses the color of the year that will influence design and decorating trends.

This year the color is PANTONE 18-3224 Radiant Orchid, featuring a mix of fuchsia, purple and pink. Watch for this year’s hot color to pop up in home decor. When it comes to interiors, Pantone recommends pairing Radiant Orchid with olive and hunter greens, turquoise, teal, light yellows and neutrals. Read the Pantone news release for more design ideas.
