WSJ: Some luxury homes are going to the dogs

A built-in dog washing station? Check. Heated window seats? Check. Dog-feeding areas with sinks that supply filtered water? Check.

Those are just some of the pet-friendly features some homeowners are including in their luxury house designs to make sure their four-legged family members feel comfortable and at home, according to the feature, “In the Dog House,” in today’s Wall Street Journal.

Chicago REALTOR® Mario Greco is among those featured. Including a washing station instead of a guest bedroom, installing built-in dog doors throughout the home and maximizing available backyard space are some of the pet-friendly amenities he and his wife added when they built their Chicago home.
