Policy meetings kick off in East Peoria

Members of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® hear a presentation from Federal Political Coordinator Ed Neaves at the REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee, Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, in East Peoria.

It may be 9 degrees outside, but the January Pubic Policy Meetings in East Peoria are on. REALTORS® began meeting this morning as part of the Illinois Association of REALTORS® annual gathering which charts policy decisions for the new year.

The morning began with the REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee, where members learned about initiatives that are making a political difference statewide. Those in attendance also heard about My REALTOR® Party outreach opportunities.

Jon Broadbooks is Director of Communications for the Illinois Association of REALTORS®. He supervises and carries out the implementation of the communications programs for the Association. He directs and supervises the Communications staff. He is responsible for coordinating and implementing the public relations and media relations efforts for the Association and acts as spokesperson and liaison to the statewide news media.
