REALTORS® aid Illinois tornado victims with housing relief funds

It’s the Power of R in action. After tornadoes tore through Illinois last November, devastating multiple communities and destroying homes, REALTORS® stepped up to offer assistance and monetary aid.

The Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) partnered with the national REALTORS® Relief Foundation to offer assistance with co-payments for temporary housing or mortgage payments. This assistance is in addition to thousands more donated by local associations for their own relief efforts.

To date, IAR through the REALTOR® Relief Foundation has distributed more than $67,000 in grants to 68 applicants. If you are interested in seeking grant assistance, the deadline for application submissions is March 1, 2014.
