Industry Leaders Council hears from IDFPR official, author

The Illinois Association of REALTORS® Industry Leaders Council kicked off on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, with a morning of presentations on real estate law and trends on the real estate business.

The meeting is for real estate firms with 50 or more agents. It met at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.

On the schedule are:

  • Manny Flores, acting secretary of the state Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Steve Murray, author of Game Changers: The Unfounded Fears and Future Prosperity of the Residential Real Estate Industry. Murray is with Real Trends.
  • John A. Kauerauf, IAR’s board counsel on the impact of the state’s Concealed Carry law and how it applies to real estate brokerages.

The meeting was to be chaired by Dean Rouso of Baird & Warner.
