Work ahead of schedule on Habitat home in Murphysboro

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. — Illinois REALTORS® enjoyed a day of sun and temperatures in the high 60s as they put finishing touches on the first stage of a house being built on Clarke Street here.

A full complement of volunteers showed up for the project on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, and went to work installing siding. Work will continue through tomorrow, then break for a few days as electricians and plumbers get to work.

Volunteers will be back in action April 21-23, and again to finish up the work May 8-10. Then REALTORS® will begin work on Habitat houses in Springfield and Aurora.

To sign up, go here. There’s still space available to help in Murphysboro and the other two builds.
