NAR shines spotlight on IAR’s Let’s Talk Real Estate program

The Illinois Association of REALTORS® meeting series, “Let’s Talk Real Estate,” is featured in a recent REALTOR® Magazine article, “Capitol Hill Comes to Illinois REALTORS®.” Since last summer, the popular program has allowed Illinois REALTORS® to meet face-to-face with their local member of Congress and talk about federal legislation and issues important to the industry.

“Congressman and congresswomen typically see REALTORS® once a year at the meetings in D.C., and that’s good. But when we can put 50, 60, or 70 people in a room with them and say, ‘Congressman, here are REALTORS® from your district, and here’s what we want you to understand,’ that congressman understands that we’re not just talking about 6 or 7 people. We’re talking about whole communities,” Chiles said.
