The Illinois Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) today hosted a real estate barcamp in conjunction with the associations’s annual fall business meetings and fall conference. Around 100 real estate professionals attended this unconference-format to share perspectives and ideas on topics such as technology management, lead generation, social media, mobile apps and branding.
Over 130 movers and shakers in real estate have reserved their ticket for next week’s REbarcamp powered by the Illinois Young Professional’s Network (YPN). This event would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. Thank you!
Barcamps are a great opportunity to explore information on things you know little about, brainstorm and share on things you know a lot about and get inspired and energized by being surrounded with like-minded people. Learn more at ypn.illinoisrealtor.org.
On Oct. 1, 2013 the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) Young Professionals Network (YPN) will host a real estate barcamp in conjunction with the association’s Fall Conference & Expo.
This half-day “unconference” event is completely participant drive so any conference attendee can start a discussion on a topic they’re familiar with, or join one they want to learn more about. The topics are usually related to technology usage in real estate but can cover industry topics from ethics, to short sales to negotiating. It all depends on what the attendees want to learn or talk about! How it works.
All Illinois REALTOR® members are invited to attend. Registration is required for this FREE event powered by the Illinois Young Professionals Network.
Coverage from last year’s event:
The Illinois Young Professionals Network (YPN) provides education and support to younger REALTORS® to share ideas and gain referrals to expand their business potential. www.illinoisrealtor.org/ypn
A July 4th Non-Event hosted by the Illinois Young Professionals Network (YPN) raised over $1,200 for Homes for Our Troops, a non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for service members who have been severely injured in combat operations since September 11, 2001.
A special thanks to all the REALTORS®, friends and colleagues who supported the cause. The money raised will go towards a home in Joliet, Ill. for Air Force Captain Anthony “Tony” Simone. Capt. Simone was on his third deployment when he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan in 2010.
This project in Illinois is just getting off the ground and donations will still be accepted through Illinois YPN’s special fund page located here.
